Jan has been practicing yoga off and on since the 1970's. However she did not start teaching until she turned 50. While living in Virginia in 2005, Jan started teaching Les Mill's Body Flow, Pilates, and yoga. After moving to Texas in 2009, she had the opportunity to receive her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate with Christina Sell.
In 2014, Jan was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in her right hip, but did not receive a new hip until 2016. Jan believes she was able to postpone THR, and recover from the surgery so quickly, because of her love and dedication to the practice. She believes yoga is for "EVERY-BODY". No matter your age, physical ability, or skill level; anyone can benefit from this beautiful, ancient discipline.
