Intermediate Level Classes
Flow & Go (Nonheated; mixed levels; 45 minutes)
Flow & Go is a fast, nonstop vinyasa designed to heat the body and increase circulation though movement and breath. While the poses are beginner to intermediate in skill level, the pace is challenging and fun. Perfect for anyone needing an effective practice in a short amount of time.
Mixed Levels Flow (Nonheated; mixed levels; 60 minutes)
This vinyasa style flow class is like a longer version of Flow & Go, but with extra time so you can take your time to experience the practice fully. Long holds, fun flows, and sometimes a peak pose or two.
Seva (Nonheated; all levels; 60 minutes)
Our Seva classes are free to the public and teach yoga as a practice of acceptance, healing, and rehabilitation. The style of class may change according to what the teacher decides for that day, and difficulty ranges from beginner to intermediate,.
Sunrise Yoga (Heated; mixed levels; 60 minutes)
Plenty of sun salutations and breathwork, Sunrise Yoga is a great start to your morning. This mixed levels class gives options for everyone, beginner to advanced, and may include guided meditation or set an intention for the day.
Challenging & Acrobatic Classes
Ashtanga (Nonheated; 75 minutes)
This is the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, developed by Sri K Pattabhi Jois, a set style and sequence of movements and poses designed to cleanse and balance the body. Some days we practice a full primary, other days we take our time, break down poses and tradition, and do a half primary. On occasion we may do a guided Intermediate. All levels are encouraged to participate and welcome to practice at their own skill level and pace.
Rocket (Heated; 90 minutes)
In this class we teach one of the three series of Progressive Rocket Vinyasa yoga, as developed by Larry Schultz as an alternative to regular Ashtanga yoga. Meant to “get you there faster,” Rocket combines elements from the first three series of Ashtanga yoga and allows the teacher some creative liberty with sequencing. It echoes the fast pace and difficulty of Ashtanga yoga without the strict adherence to order and rules.
Hot Vinyasa (Heated; 60-75 minutes)
“Vinyasa” is a gradual and systematic progression of postures designed to lead from one pose to the next, all linked with the breath. One of the most common and well-known vinyasas is the “Chaturanga-Upward Facing Dog-Downward Facing Dog” sequence often performed in class. Our teachers thoughtfully sequence fun, creative, and smart flows to improve one’s practice and well-being. Options are always given and props are encouraged to accommodate skill level or physical needs. Our Hot Vinyasa can be quite challenging and vigorous and may incorporate intermediate and advanced poses and transitions.
Focus On: (Heated; advanced; 90-120 minutes)
Our most advanced class, Focus On: focuses on a peak pose or particular intention set by the teacher. This class is very carefully sequenced to help the student learn, understand, and practice the focus of the class, and takes the skill level, body type, and even mindset of each student into consideration. While this is an advanced class, the teacher will always give options to modify. (Students are encouraged to make requests for this class.) .
Unique Classes
Aerial Yoga (Nonheated; 60 minutes; PREREQUISITE)
Channel your inner acrobat and soar through the air using our aerial swings. Aerial yoga builds strength and flexibility as you use the swing to assist poses both on and off the mat. In our aerial yoga classes, you may gently glide through the air to relax and decompress or flip and fly to your heart’s content. YOU MUST TAKE THE BEGINNER AERIAL YOGA WORKSHOP PRIOR TO ATTENDING ANY AERIAL CLASS. Anyone registered for aerial classes who has not taken our workshop will be removed from the roster.
Mysorta (Nonheated; 60 minutes; all levels)
Mysorta is our play on Mysore-style yoga and open gym. We open our yoga room for any student wanting to practice on their own, work with friends, or seek help from a teacher. You are not required to practice Ashtanga yoga in this class. Arrive at any time during the hour, practice what you prefer, and leave when you want. It’s like Mysore style…sort of.
The Upside Down (Nonheated; 45 minutes; all levels)
All inversions all the time. Each week we work on drills (body conditioning, strength, mobility), or skills (tricks and techniques) to comfortably execute inversions. Students of any skill level can attend. This class is not a typical yoga class, but a supplement to the acrobatic practice so you can train more efficiently. All you need is a strong desire to go upside down!
